Crossroads

Life is all about making choices. Making a decision to stay or leave a job, a place, a relationship is sometimes a painful process. It involves "letting go" to make room for a new commitment. Once the decision is made, the way is clear. You have to know what you want, what's important to you, and whether you're sacrificing too much of yourself in the process of getting it.


You've come to the crossroads,
Don't know which way to turn
Can't see your future staring you in the face
When will you ever learn?

You may feel you're standing still,
Running on a treadmill
You may not know it, but inch by inch
You're inching up to a star…

Instead of a mile, you may have to run two;
But after a while, you've got it coming to you…

Maybe you've slipped and fallen
Maybe you're falling behind
Just pick yourself up and carry on,
You'll get ahead, you'll find…

One day you'll get there
You'll get there in the end
The goal you're reaching for
Is just beyond the bend.

Success! Everybody's wanting it
Success! Everyone is reaching for
Success! You've got to look for it
Before you find success.

Call it by any other name
Status, money or fame
Rank, position, responsibility
Recognition of your ability,
It's still success.
