Five Kinds of Exercise that you’ll Love Doing

The hardest thing about exercise is sticking to a routine. People don’t stick to a routine because they don’t like the exercise they are doing. Exercise should be challenging, but also fun. This article lists five exercises that I believe anyone will want to stick with.

1. Tennis

The best thing about tennis is that it is a sport you can play all year round. The courts at public schools are usually open in the evenings and on weekends. Pick out a racket that has the right weight and balance for you. If you’ve never played tennis before, you’ll be nursing sore knees and ankles for a few weeks until your body adjusts with regular play. My sisters and I started playing last year and got hooked. After twenty minutes, our hearts were racing.

2. The Ab Lounge® Abdominal Exerciser

I have tried several exercise products on the market designed to strengthen and tighten the abdominal area. My results: loss of money and frustration. That changed when I found the Ab Lounge®. It looks like a glorified beach chair, but it works. The exercises were challenging and there was no strain on my back and neck like with traditional crunches and sit-ups. The design makes perfect posture a no-brainer. That hard to reach lower abdominal area will actually flatten instead of pooch out. It worked for me. Once you start seeing results you’ll want to use it every day.

3. Bicycle riding

I loved riding my bike as a kid. We would ride up and down hills and along dirt trails. Now, they have mountain bikes if you want to tackle rough terrain and dirt bikes for off-road fun. Parks have bike trails to challenge the novice as well as the more experienced rider. Your legs will become sleek and shapely in no time.

4. Tae Bo® Aerobic Kickboxing

Kickboxing combines boxing and martial arts techniques into a fat-burning workout. Tae Bo® takes this to new levels. Billy Blanks, a seven-time martial arts champion founded this program to build lean muscle and lose weight. Tae Bo® is an everyday person’s exercise program. Billy keeps you motivated throughout the videos. Best of all, the program continues to evolve into more innovative routines to challenge your body and your mind. Men and women will both love this exercise system.

5. Dance lessons

Even if you never went dancing when you were dating your spouse or significant other, it’s never too late to start. Dance classes are fun. A real shape changing form of dance is Latin dancing. Dancing works up a sweat and increases endorphins, creating a feeling of euphoria. Lessons can be taken alone, but are more fun with a partner.

When you find an exercise that you love, you will stick with it. These are a few that I find challenging. Try them all and see which one works for you.
